China Central Television (CCTV)

Project Background

China Central Television (CCTV) is the national television broadcaster of the People’s Republic of China, a state-run public institution at the vice-ministerial level. It is the country’s primary news and public opinion platform and an important ideological and cultural stronghold. CCTV operates 43 television channels and produces 529 programs. With an annual broadcast volume of 338,000 hours, it is the only television media in the world that continuously broadcasts in all six official working languages of the United Nations.

Monitoring Scope：4th-floor master control and transmission rooms, 5th-floor master control and transmission rooms, and 6th-floor broadcasting rooms of CCTV.

Project Scale：1,353 m² broadcast equipment rooms and 1,338 m² master control rooms, with a total of 500 equipment cabinets.

Solution

Jitong Intelligent established a unified environmental monitoring system for CCTV’s new-site broadcast, master control, and transmission rooms (covering both the master control & transmission monitoring system and the broadcast environment monitoring system). This ensures the entire data center’s physical infrastructure features high availability, high security and reliability, flexibility, and scalability to meet present and future operational requirements.

Monitoring Targets：Precision power distribution cabinets, PDUs, precision air conditioning, temperature and humidity, water leakage, and cabinet temperature cloud maps.

Application Value

Deploying temperature sensors on cabinets to create a heatmap of hot spots across the data center, with intuitive visualizations on upper, middle, and lower sections of the cabinets.

Comprehensive PDU and energy-efficiency analysis to support energy consumption reduction in the data center.

Supports remote WEB access without the need for additional plugins, allowing one-click access.
